A computer virus is a type of program which is intentionally created to cause a user grief, spread to the other computer, or destroy data in several computers, in other words, it is also called an unwanted program, which the user does not want in our computer or devices.

Let’s talk about Malware and its types
Malware is a “Malicious Software” and it is designed to gain access or installed into the computer without the consent of the user. The malware performs unwanted tasks on the computer for the benefit of other parties.
Different types of Malware — — -
1-SPYWARE
It is a special type of Malware that is installed in the target devices with or without the user's permission and is designed to steal sensitive information from the target machine. Spyware gathers the browser habits of the user and the sent it to the remote server without the knowledge of the user.
2 -ADWARE
Adware is a special type of malware that is used for forced advertising. This Adware is supported by the organizations whose products are advertised.
3- Virus
A virus is a malicious code written to harm the host computer by deleting or occupying the memory space of the computer by making a copy of the code, slowing down the performance of the computer, formatting the machine, etc. It can be spread via email attachments, pen drives, digital images or video clips, etc.
4-WORMS
Worms are a class of viruses that can replicate themselves. They do not require human permission to travel over the network and spread from the infected device to the whole network. Worms can spread through the loopholes of OPERATING SYSTEM(OS) or by E-MAIL
5-Trojan horse
Trojan horse is an unwanted code that is installed in the machine by pretending to be good software. The user clicks on the download the file which pretends to be a non-harmed file. Trojans neither infect the other computers in the network like worms. It not only damages the computer but also creates a loophole in the computer so that it could be the other devices.

I LOVE YOU, sometimes referred to as a LOVE BUG or LOVE LETTER for you, is a Worm that infected over ten million Windows PCs. When it started spreading as an email SMS with the subject I LOVE YOU and the attachment is LOVE LETTER FOR YOU. The Worms was created by Onel de Guzman, a 24-year-old resident of Manila, Philippines. There were no laws in the Philippines for creating malware at the time. onel make malware because he was poor and tensed to pay for Internet charges at the time so created the computer worm to steal other user's passwords.
2-creeper
Creeper was an experimental computer program written by Bob Thomas at BBN in 1971. Creeper is recognized as the first computer virus. Creeper corrupted DEC PDP-10 computers operating on the operating system by messing around the installed printers and they displaying the message I’m the creeper, catch me if you can!
3-BRAIN
The Brain virus is also known as the boot sector, or which was programmed by two Pakistani brothers Amjad Farooq Alvi and Basit Farooq Alvi. The brain is considered to be the first computer virus for MS-DOS. The brain affects the IBM PC by replacing the boot sector of a floppy disk with a copy of the virus. Who at the time lived in Chah Miran, near Lahore Railway station, in Lahore Pakistan. The virus came to the complete address of the brothers and three phone numbers, and a message that told the user that their device was infected.

4- BLASTER (MS BLAST)
Blaster is also known as MS Blast was a type of WORM that spread on computers OS likes WindowsXP and Windows2000 in August 2003.it spread quickly in the network because Windows firewalls did not prevent it. The worm attacked the machine by exploiting a security flaw.
ABOUT ANTIVIRUS
This is much malware like worms, trojan horses, etc that are spread over the internet to destroy data and steal sensitive information or passwords from the computer. To prevent this malware to enter your computer, a special program called an anti-virus is intentionally designed to protect the system against unwanted/harm full programs. There are lots of harm full programs coming every day. The antivirus program regularly updates and provides security to the system against this new malware.
