if you want to prevent cyber attacks on your smartphone, computers, or any other devices follow basic rules — —

1- Use strong passwords. … on your Gmail, E-mail, mobile passwords.

2- Use a different password for every site, if you can’t remember your passwords then use an offline password manager.

3- Be aware of Malware, phishing, spamming, spoofing, spyware, trojans, and viruses (If you want to take basic knowledge of Computer virus visit on my this article.)

4- Keep your software/Apps updated.

5- Use a firewall for your Internet connection.

6- Use antivirus.

7- Protect the Important Data.

8-Make backup copies of important business data and information.

9- Regularly change passwords.

10- Take appropriate actions if you have been a victim.

How to prevent us from fraud E-mails?

Phishing frauds are one of the most common methods of attack you’re likely to come across. They are a hugely popular attack method for cybercriminals, as thousands fall victim to them every year. Fortunately, due to their commonplace nature, phishing scams are avoidable if you know how to correctly identify and prevent them. — —

Phishing emails and text messages may look like they’re from a group/organization in which you trust. like- Amazon, Google, Whatsapp, They also may look like they’re from a bank, a credit card company, etc….

1- Do not enter personal information in a pop-up screen.

2- Do not click on an unknown link that is sent by an unknown person.

3- Do not download any type of application that is referred by any fraud spam E-mail message (Because that application consists of any trojan or malware through which they can steal your personal data…..

4- Use anti-phishing protection and anti-spam software to protect yourself.

Phishing

The purpose of phishing is to steal information like username, password, and debit card number, online transaction passwords must be used to steal money from users. It is a type of cyber attack that uses a Fake page as a cyber weapon. The attacker makes a fake page of any trusted website /company and you put your personal information like Username, passwords, credit card information, etc, and you become a victim very easily.

There are many methods to steal password some methods are following-

Brute force cracking-

A brute force cracking is a type of cyberattack in which hackers try every possible password on your webpage or in any other site in which they want to enter and eventually finding the right one. Brute force attacks are simple Attackers let a computer do the work trying different combinations of usernames and passwords, or any experienced hacker steals your password within a 2 to 4 hour.

How to prevent Brute force cracking?

1- Make lengthy passwords (Minimum 8 digits)

2- Do not put the same password for every website if somehow they steal your one password, they have access to your all data.

3- Use special characters on your password. (#, $, &, *, @, !)

4- Use multi-factor authentication.

5- Try to make different combinations in your passwords, With numbers, characters, special characters………

6- Do not visit unsecured sites.

Prevention from fraud calls.

1- Use apps like truecaller to know the difference between a spam caller or a person.

2- Do not share OTP(one-time-password) credit, debit card details, or any type of personal information with any spammer.

3- Avoid picking the spam calls.

4- If any fraud pressurizes you to give your personal details like- ATM pin, OTP, Bank account details, etc. Then report against the call immediately.
